ALBION V. NGONGOTAHA
Ngongotaha batted first in their match with Albion, played on the High School grounds on Saturday, but fared badly against the bowling of Lenihan and Dr. Wallis. The side was all out after an hour and a-half 's batting for 57 runs, Dawson (13) and Harris (11), being the only members to reach double figures. Lenihan bowled six overs to finish up with the fine figure of five wickets for eight runs, while Dr. Wallis' four overs produced four wickets for.nine, Sutherland being responsible for the other wicket at a cost of 18 runs. At the drawing of stumps Albion had put on 83 for six wickets, Hinton batting right through and being unbeaten with 35 runs to his credit. Dr. Wallis' 13 runs included three boundaries, while Sutherland brightened up proceedings somewhat with a brisk 16. For Ngongotaha ( -Beaumont was responsible for three of the six wickets which fell. The game will be continued next Saturday.
