MAMAKU SCORE WELL AGAINST CITY GOOD KNOCK BY NANKERVIS City batted first in their cricket match against Mamaku, commenced at the Government Grounds pn Saturday and compiled 117- runs, the highest scorers being Harding (35) and Hewson (28). A feature ' of the "innings was the number of run-ou't decisions secured, no less than'four batsmen losing their wickets in this manner. Mamaku made a good start and at stumps were 14 runs ahead of their opponents- score with only six wickets down. Nanlcervis batted well for Mamaku, scoring 69 runs, whiqh included 13 fours, before being run out. Loose fielding by the City team considerably helped the batsmsen and accounted for the high score against them. The game will be resumed next Saturday.
