STOLEN CAR RECOVERED
FOUND NEAR NGONGOTAHA | Word was received by the Rotorua police yesterday from the Cambridge police to the effect that a baby motor-car had been stolen from Cambridge between 5.30 p.m. on October 28 and 11 a.m. the next day. The ear was. the property of Mr. John Forbes Riach, of Hautapu. The traflic inspector, Mr. D. Ford, remembered having seen a car answering the description of the missing car on the main Auckland highway not far past Ngongotaha, and : aecompanied by Constable Kelly he ! went out, yesterday afternoon, to in- ! vestigate. The vehiele was still where Mr. Ford had seen it at the side of the road and proved to be the one stolen from Cambridge. From indications it appeared as though the car had been turned over but when seen by Mr. Ford on Thursday it was on its wheels again. The car was towed to the Rotorua police station and further investigations are being carried out by the local police.
