LONDDN, Tuesday. Labour lost "Wakefield and FarnWorth (Lancashire) the latter had been held by Labour since 1922, but has turned over to the Nationalists With a substantial majority. There was a big swing at Accrington, where a Labour majority of 2226 was converted into a Conservative majority of 12,500. Not until 11.45 p.m. was the first Labour ite returned, Mr. Wallhead holding Merthyrydivil in a straightout fight against a New Party candidate, polling 10,834. Presumably all the Liberal or Conservative votes Went to the Labourite. Dr. Sommerville Hastings met a terrific slump at Reading, where the Conservatives converted a deficieney of 852 votes into a majority of 15,162,
