— By Telegraph — Copyright.)
AUCKLAND, Sunday. Arthur Wellsped, aged 16 years is missing and is believed to be drowned as the result of a 14-foot yacht capsizing in the Rangitoto Channel at mid-day to-day. A companion, Cyril Webster, aged 18 years, was picked up by a launch after being in the water for about an hour. A sudden squall struck the boat which capsized. The youths got into a dinghy and commenced to row to Rangitoto but the dinghy swamped. Webster struck out for the Island and when last seen by him, Wellsped was bolding an oar. Launches searched the locality without finding Wellsped, who is a son of A. Wellsped, commercial agent for the Railway Department.
