PENSIONS FOR DEPOSITORS IN N.S.W. SAVINGS BANK

CANBERRA, Friday. A Bill has been introduced into the House of Representatives providing for pensions for persons whose life savings are impounded in the old business division of the New South Wales Savings Bank, and whose condition is now desperate. These people will be required to assign their deposits to the Ministry of Pensions, and when the aceount becomes operative the amount of the pensions paid will he deducted.
