I TURKEY DENIES TRUTH OF ' KINGSFORD SMITH'S STORY ; LANDING AT MILAS

Rec. Oct. 22, 11.30 p.m. LONDON, Thursday. The Turkish Embassy has issued a statement explaining the Turkish version of Air-Connno-dore Kingsford Smith's stay at Mslas after his forced landing I there on his recent attempted record flight from Australia to England. The statement says that the airman was not imprisoned at Milas, as he had stated, but was immediately given full facilities for comtinuing his flight. Owing to the lateness of the hour, however, he preferred to postpone his departure until the next day.
