WAY CLEAR FOR AUCKLAND SCHEME TO PROCEED EARLY START PROBABLE AUKLAND, Thursday. "The way is now elear to go ahead," . said the managing direetor of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Company, Mr. C. H. M. Wills, in commenting on the passage of the Empowering Bill. Negotiations are proeeeding with several firms, and a representative of Messrs Dorman, Long and Co., who had been in England eonferring with his co-directors on the financing of the scheme, would return to Auckland about mid-Deeember. "We expect that the work of building the bridge will start early next year," said Mr. Wills.
