PROFESSIQNAL SEMI-FINALS SURPIRSE IN MORNING ROUND CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. The fourth and fifth rounds of the Amateur Golf Championship and the semi-finals of the Professional Championship were played at Shirley today in brilliant sunshine with a light cool breeze. The'main surprise of the morning was the failure of Shaw to hold the Shirley professional , H. R. Blair, who finished four up in the first round of the professional semi-final At the end of the first 18 holes the positions were: — H. R. Blair, 4 up on A. J. Shaw. J. Forrest, 6 up on R. C.
