SYDNEY, Monday When Empire and South Sydnej Fernleigh teams played the final of s Junior Rugby League competition a1 Redfern Oval over the week-end; the game developed into a brawl, and the police had to interfere. And when the winners of the match entertained the loSers at a victory smoke social in a hall in Crown-street, it ended in an "all-in" brawl in which so many were Injured that nine had to be treat'ed at Sydney Hospital. The victims Were: — Nicholas Maloney, 23, Bourkestreet, city, laborer, laeerations to head, seven stitches ; Sid Smith, 21, laborer, Crown-street, laeerations to scalp, eight stitches; Wm. Edwards, 32, laborer, Rennie-street, Redfern, lacerated eye, one stitch; Thomas Johnson, 25, laborer, Arthur-street, Moore Park, lacerated eye, two stitches; Vince Toohey, 23, laborer, Crown-street, city, collapse; . Ed, Fay, 27., laborer, Lansdowne-street, Surrey Hills", cut eye, one stitch; Wm Rogers, 25, laborer, Bourke-street, cut nose; William Davis, 23 baker, Kendall-street, Moore Park, cut eye, hroken ribs; Frank Storey, 25, laborer, Chaplin-street, Moore Park, cut scalp, two stitches.
