Mr Russell Sherwood, financial adviser to Mr James Walker, Mayor of New York, has been found at the Ritz Hotel here on his honeymoon, despite the fact that he faces a 100,000 dollar fine if he does not return to New York. Questioned regarding the. charges made against him, he said "I have nothing to say." A eable message published on Saturday said: A sensation was created by the announcement that a special legislative committee have unearthed much bribe taking by Tammany leaders and have finally traced bank and brokerage accounts totalling 1,000,000 dollars to Russell Sherwood, financial agent and accountant, for Mr James Walker, Mayor of New York. All the efforts of the committee's counsel to find Sherwood, who disappeared two months ago, have failed and counsel now charges Mr Walker with keeping Sherwood out of the State in order to prevent him from being questioned. The Mayor when asked his opinion, said : "I have nothing to say."
