SIR THOMAS LIPTON LEAVES j FORTUNE FOR BENEFIT OF POOR LONDON, Wednesday. | Sir Thomas Lipton's estate exceeds j £1,000,000. Sir Thomas bequeathed j his Ostidge Estate, with an endow- 1 ment of £20,000, as a nurses' hostel in memory of his mother. A sum of £80,000 is to be used to benefit the working class mothers and children of Glasgow. The residue of the estate is to be divided among" the hospitals and institutions of Glasgow, London and Middlesex. His yachting trophies will be handed over to a museum designated by the executors.
