Rec. Oct. 5, 8.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Monday. A picnic party of 24 on the Georges River, near Sydney, had an unenviable experience when the cabin of their launeh collapsed and 12 young people were thrown into deep water. All were rescued but one, who was not missed for some time. The victim is Charles Pearson, who was drowned. The body was recovered half an hour later.
