VIOLENCE IN CHINA
TOKIO, Monday. Anti-Japanese violence is increasing in the Yangtse Valley. Although the Japanese officials report to Tokio that the Chinese local authorities are trying their best, they are apparently unable to protect Japanese residents from the mobs. Four destroyers are proceeding to Shanghai to assist in anaintaining order.
