VISIT TO PARIS

(British Official Wireless).

invitation to lord reading welcomed in england VALUE OF PERSONAL CONTACT

RUGBY, Sunday. Lord Reading's visit to Paris will be the first occasion on which he will have made personal contact with the French Ministers since taking office. Recent and forthcoming events in the international situation, namely, the French visit to Berlin and the coming visit to Washington, developments at Geneva regarding the disarmament question, and recent events of a financial and economic nature make personal diseussions obviously desirable at present and the French invitation to Lord Reading is generally welcomed. The British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, the Marquess of Reading, is going to Paris to-day to discuss the general situation, at the request of the French Prime Minister, M. Laval.
