CANBERRA, Thursday. The Federal Treasurer, Mr E. G. Theodore, announced that £5,000,000 worth of Treasury Bills covering the overdraft accommodation for the New South Wales, Yictorian, and Western Australian Governments have been renewed at 6i per cent., compared with the old rate of 4 per cent. The higher rate was due to the Bank of England having to increase the discount rates.
