GRAND TO-NIGHT
Olive Borden appears in "Hello, Sister," a James Cruse production, at the Grand Theatre to-night. Portraying the masculine role opposite Miss Borden is handsome Lloyd Hughes, whose charming voice has won him a host of feminine admirers from coast to coast. Heading the lai;ge contingent of well known screen players supporting Miss Borden and Mr. Hughes will be found such well known names as George Fawcett, Bodil Rosing, Howard Hickman and others of equal cinema fame. Scenically and photographically, the picture is a gem. Several of the big scenes — notably where Miss Borden rides in a steeplechase to a thrilling climax — were taken at the Flintridge Country Club, home of Calfornia millionaires, and the colourful Charity Bazaar was photographed on the estate of " James Cruze and Betty Compson. Hal Rosson, famous for many years as the cameraman for Mary Pickford, handled the camera. It has snappy dialogue, tuneful music and a happy-go-lucky bunch of youthful artists who interject plenty of action- into every situation.
