RELIEF FOR AUSTRALIA
MELBOURNE, Monday. "England's action in abandoning the gold standard will relieve the real burden of Australia's interest obligations," declared Professor Giblin, acting Commonwealth Statistician. He estimates that the relief would be 25 per cent., irrespective of what happens to the exchange rate.
