Four ]b • apples, 1 . lb onions, 11b brown sugar. £lb sultanas or raisins, 3 cups vinegai% 1 teaspoon salt, i teaspoon mixed spice. Peel and core the apples and onions.- Slice them and put iri a pan with 'the- other ingredients. Sim-mer till reduced to a pulp, not less- than li hours. Then bottle and cover.
