A NEW ENGINE.

A private view was given at the offices 4 of the Australian 'Motorist, Melbourne, of a new engine which has been invented by Mr. A. Mohr. It is claimed that the new engine will give three or four times the present mileage on petrol or kerosene. It is also confidently anticipated that the engine will develop up to 10 times the power of the petrol engine, weight for weight. The increase of power in the new engine is largely due to the ab'olition of all reciprocating motion in the prime mover. Thus, the waste of power in overcoming the momentum of opposing movemeiits, taking place 4000 times or more per minute, is eliminated, and a continuous flood of power pours in one direction into a rotating flywheel from the point of highest leverage. The inventor has had a wide and varied experience in inany branches of engineering, and has a number of inventions to his credit in other departments of engineering.
