SUCCESSFUL CONCERT
The reeently formed Rotorua Combined Qrchestra gave a most successconcert programme in the Town HallJ Cambridge, on Sunday night, the proceeds going to the Boys' Brass Band funds. Under the baton of Gieut- E. Tregilgas, the orchestra, which has now a complement of 30 Players, gave an excellently balanced programme of concert music and received a most appreciative hearing from a well-filled house. Well-known rotorua artists also assisted and contributed materially to the success of what was undoubtedly a very fine Programme. Items played by the orchestra were, "Poet and Peasant," overture; "Pique Dame," suite; "In A Persian Market," and "In A Monastry Garden." All four were enthusiastically encored, as also were vocal instrumental items given by Messrs- J. Thomas and G. Wood) and Misses Z. Casey, E. Beamish and ameron-J ohnson. At the interval, i -tr. G. Nelson briefly tHanked those Present for the support they had ac- ; c°rded the concert, and their appreciative reception of the programme.
