The many friends of.Miss A. Firth, Postmistress at Whakarewarewa, will be- pleased to know that she is expected to resume her duties in a day or two. Miss Firth was recently injured by a motor-lorry as she was cycling home. However, her injuries were, f ortunately, not serious. Her position is being filled temporarily by Miss Shaddoek. Miss M. Grant, of Christchurch, is1 spending a holiday in Rotorua and is the gue^t of her sister, Mrs. P. . A. Kusabs, Rangiuru Street. Mrs. F. Senn, of Auckland, and Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Newton, of Remuera, are visiting Rotorua and are guests at Hotel Arawa. Mr- and Mrs- H. 0. Wiles, of Remuera, visited Rotorua during the week-end. Mrs. B. Watt, of Rotorua, is spending a short hoiiday in Auckland. Miss V. Steele is on a visit to Tauranga and Auckland. Mrs. C. Hitchcock, of Herewini Street, spent the week-end in Cambridge as the guest of Mrs. E. Westlake. Mrs- Hector.' Cameron, of Horopito, who has been visiting her sister- Mrs. Russell Gardner, Malfroy Road, left for Auckland on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Bridger, of Whakatane, have been visiting Rotorua, and were the guests of their daughter, Mrs. G. Marshall, Seddon Street. Mr. and Mrs. J. U- Collins, of Auckland, are spending the holidays at their cottage at Ngongotaha. Mr- and Mrs. L. Buddle, of Whakatane, who have been visiting Rotorua, have returned to. their home. Mr. and Mrs. S. Gyllies, of Auckland have been spending a few days in Rotorua. Mr- and Mrs. R. S. Baker, of Whakatane, visited Rotorua during the golf tournament and have now returned to their home.

Miss Molly Hogg, who hal been visiting Rotorua, has returned to Rotorua. Mrs. C. Roberts, of, Rotorua, who has been spending a short Koliday in Auckland, returned by the Rotorua express on Monday. Mrs. J. B. Lusk, of Auckland, is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. Tewsley, accompanied by Miss Tewsley, of Parnell, is spending a' holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. J- Hellaby, of Epsom, is visiting Rotorua.
