SYDNEY, Wednesday. There was splendid weather for the semi-finals of the Amateur and Professional Golf Championships at Kensington Links to-day., The boy champions Williams and Ferrier were engaged in a gruelling contest, the Yictorian, Williams, triumphing over the New South Wales, Ferrier, by 1 upFerrier missed too many putts, and was four down at the end of the1 morning' round. Williams was superb, hitting with great power and confidence, and was much superior in his iron strokes. Ferrier made a great and thrilling recovery, but missed a three-foot putt on the last green, which would have squared the match, Williams thus winning by 1 up. In other amateur semi-finals, G. Thompson beat S. Keane 8 and -7. In the professional semi-finals, Spence beat Howard 1 up, and Volger beat the Queenslander, Cohen, 2 up- ' -
