PRESIDENTS CHANGE OVER.

Before vacating the chair at last evening' s 'annual meeting of the Rotorua Bowling Club, the retiring president, Mr. A. W. Downer, referred eulogistically to the good work carried out during the past season, by the members of the retiring committee. Mr. Downer made special reference to the valuable work which had been carried out by Messrs. J. McDowell and R. A. Gardner. in drawing up cards, rules, and programmes. The work carried out by these two gentlemen had been of great assistance in promoting the progress of competitions. Mr. Downer then vacated the chair in favour of the presi'dent-elect, Mr. T. Kelly, who briefly thanked members and assured them that he would do his utmost to further the best interests of the club and justify the confidence which had been placed in him.
