By Telephone — "Post" Special Service. BALCLUTHA, Thursday. Basil G. Knox, aged 20, a labourer, was charged to-day with abducting a girl, aged 16 years and seven montbs. The police stated that accused, after a ball, at which he gave the girl drinlcs of lemon squash adulterated with wiue, obtained a car and took the girl to the Henley Hotel, where he registered tbem as a married couple. Accused was sentenced to 18 months in a Borstal institution, and the magistrate fnstructed the police to draw the Licensing Committee's attention to the hotel licensee's action.
