By Telephone — "Post" Special Service. LONDON, Th'ursday. The French arid Italian air manoeuvres started last night. The French mano.uvres are being held over the town of Nancy which is in darkness, the blinds in shops and houses being closely drawn. Motorists are not even allowed inside the town. Siren sounds and church bells ring every three minutes. All railway train lights for a distance of over 50 miles must be extinguished. Even signal lights must be put out. Nine hundred aeroplanas are engaged in the Italian manoeuvres. These include attacks on specific ohjects by successive waves of,50 machines. Tbe air battles will be wirelessly directed.
