MR. S. H. JOLLY
appointment in the north. After over 20 years' residence in the Rotorua district, Mr. S. H. Jolly has decided to make his future home in North Auckland. He has received an appointment as agricultural manager of the Tung Oil Company's property between Kaikohe and Whangarei and will leave to take up his new duties at the end of the present month. Mr. Jolly is well lcnown in farming circles here and latterly has been engaged in valuation work. With his brother he broke in 1000 acres of the Kaharoa country and farmed the bloclc for 10 years. As a Boer war veteran he again saw service in the Great War and when peace was restored the brothers sold the Kaharoa country and Mr. S. H. Jolly purchased Hamurana Springs and remained in charge of that popular fishing lodge for 10 years. As an old resideht of the district, Mr. Jolly has made many friends and his departure will be regretted.
