RAPID PROGRESS

NGONGOTAHA FACTORY. INCREASE IN CAPACITY FROM 800 TO 1500 TONS. The rapid development of dairying in the Rotdrua district is reflected in the rapid growth of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's factory at Ngongotaha, which reopened this we.ek, following extensive alterations which have increased its output capacity from 800 to 1500 tons. The factory began operations in 19i0 with a capacity of 40 tons, but in 1923, it was remodelled and its capacity increased to 800 tons. The further alterations which have just been completed, will practically double that capacity, and the manager, Mr. C. E. Burrows, anticipates that a considerable increase in supply will result. Three new 600-gallon receiving vats have been fnstalled and a moderii direct exparision cooler, while considerable ma'ehinery and structural alterations have been carried out.
