SUMMER FROCKS.
Charming summer frocks suitable for morning or beach wear are being shown by some of the prominent dressmakers. Made in white and pastel shades, the materials used are largely jerseys and shantung. They are simple, but effective in design, and are generally sleeveless, or with the merest suggestion of one, with a narrow belt, and owe their fullness to inverted pleats. Unobtrusive emhroideries decorate many models, a series of eyelet holes to emphasise the lines of the dress being an example. Printed materials in contrasting colours face the collars and lapels of some coats and costumes.Long tweed coats are much liked by the Parisienne this summer. They give the impression of being quite straight in cut and draw in at waist, under a fairly wide belt. These coats have sleeves that are moderately tight at shoulder and waist, but are very roomy at the elbow.
