UNEMPLOYMENT BOARDS FINANCIAL NEEDS.
WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Tho opinion that unless the new Unemployment Board could devise scliemes whereby workless people could be given employment in productive channels, contributions to the fund would have to be increased was expressed to-night by Mr. Jessep, vice-chairman of the new board. Mr. Jessep said it was essential that work providecf for the' unemployed should give a returri" so as to provide a certain amount of money with which to carry out further woiks.
