IRISH REPUBLICAN LEADER'S VIEWS. "STILL AT WAR."

— Oopyright.

By Telephone — -

LONDON, Monday. Interriewed by a special correspondent the leaders of the ,Irish Republican army, Frank Ryan, an exschooimaster who is slightly deaf, but has blue eyes ablaze with burning zeal for his cause, and Geoffrey Coulter, recently of Trinity College, Dublin, a-nswered his question with astonishing candour. They said: "The Irish Republican Army believes in the exertion of force and the taking of life in the present circumstances." They discussed the ethics of ltilling. Ryan disclosed the consideration which would decide whether the death sentence would' be enforced. "We regard the Republican Army as still at war with Britain. The Free State Ministeis are merely the egents of the British criminal investigation department. When that department meddles with politics, it interferes with matters that do not concern it We need only give the word and every criminal investigation department man would be wiped off the streets of Dubl'n in a night. England will soon be concerned in another war that will c-nd her rule in Ireland."
