RANGITIKEI PATRIOTIC SOCIETY.
The Executive Committee of the above society met last night. Present: Messrs Lethbridge (chairman) Wilde, Kensington, Alloway, Ladley, treasurer and secretary. Correspondence was read from Mr E. Newman, M,P., re Convalescent Home. Prom War Relief Association re Private Hodgson, whose mother was seeking information. From Federated Patriotic Societies Association notifying that the War Fund Act provided that receipts from Trustees of any war fund need not he stamped. Mr F, R. H. Brice wrote asking the Committee to reconsider the decision re investing monies in War Bonds.
It was decided that if a sufficient number of members sign a requisition a General Committee meeting would bo called for that purpose.
The treasurer submitted a statement of the Committee’s finances: — General, banker, £455 15s lid*, post office cr. £IOOO, total £1455 15s'lld; Belgian Relief, cr £1 15s lOd; Wounded Soldiers, cr. £320 18s Id; Chest Protectors, cr. 12s 7d; Belgian Babies, or. £1 13s 4d; Red Cross, cr. £1; Artificial Limbs, cr, £2 10s; Y.M.C.A., cr £O.
