London, August 21. | Sir Douglas Haig reports thatjthe enemy heavily bombarded andinade three bombing attacks early 7 in the morning at High wood and northeast of High wood to the Somme. Our covering patrols withdrew before a strong enemy who did not progress under our fire. The enemy bombarded us at Pozieres and nsed gas shells. North-west of Contalmaisnn the enemy raids north-east of Hullicli and east of Le Plantin succeeded in reaching our lines at one point, hut were quickly driven ont.
