BIRTHDAY GREETINGS TO POINCARE. CONFIDENT OF VICTORY. Received August 31, 1 p.m, London, August 30. The King has telegraphed. to President Poincare birthday greetings, and the great pleasure he had last week of meeting him, and ascertaining that their views were in perfect harmony, I am confident thatonr brave troops co-operating on the battlefield will assure success in the common cause. President Poincare 'replied: ‘‘l congratulate myself on the close agreement between our countries and likewise v,n the valiant armies.
