A BULGAR OFFENSIVE.
ATTACK ON THE SERVIANS.
REPULSED WITH ENORMOUS LOSSES.
Times. Received Aug. 31, 9.5 a.m. London, Aug. 20.
Mr Ward Price, writing on the 38th, says the Bulgarians yesterday commenced the offensive on the whole Servian front in the Moglen sector. Six battalions furiously attacked with the object of recapturing the positions lost in July. They were everywhere repulsed with enormous losses, except at Fiorina, where only Servian outposts occupied the town and station. South of Demir Hissar patrols crossed the Struma and exchanged shots with our cavalry. At Lissa and Starchista the Bulgars ordered the Greeks to withdraw from defending their guns and they obeyed the Bulgars occupying both. Meanwhile British infantry attacked the hill commanding Dolzeli, drove out the enemy and consolidated the position.
