ALLEN DOONE COMPANY. Mr Allen Doone’s familiarity with the Irish atmosphere and his close attention to detail is in the staging of his dramas on Tuesday evening next, August 22nd, at the Marton Theatre, The production Molly Bawu is said to be the finest Irish drama of to-day, and as a picture of Ireland it has never been equalled, while the characters of the play give it a vitality equalling the numerous dramatic incidents like clear pools. Molly Bawn reflects the nature of the Irish; it is an enjoyable love story and brisk characterisation confirm its claim to be the brightest musical comedy drama ever played in any part of the world. As an exponent of Irish drama, Mr Allen Doone has achieved much distinction and in all States of the Commonwealth and New Zealand has established a reputation of which any actor might feel proud. The plan for the performance is on view at Mogridge’s.
