VIOLENT ARTILLERY CONFLICT.
ON THE FRENCH FRONT. FRENCH ORGANISING GAINS. Received August 18, 11 a.m, Paris, August 17. A French communique states that there is violent artillery fighting at Maurepas, Bellogen and Santerre. We are engaged in organising the ground gained.
