RANGITIKEI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
The Bulls section pai'aded as usual on Wednesday evening, Captain Gaisford being iu charge. Miniature rifle shooting took dip most of the time. Teams were selected by Messrs Capstick and Willis, each winning a match with the aggregate in favour of the latter. The tirst match was fired at la yards and the second at 10 yards range at bull, 7 shots per man. The new rifles were used and proved satisfactory, but better scores are expected when the sighting is properly adjusted, and the men get used to them. The following are the scores
Next Wednesday evening instruction will be given in squad drill and signalling, A good muster is requested. Although the attendance is better there is still room fur improvement, the Ohakea men in particular being mostly “conspicuous by their absence,”
