MARTON JOCKEY CLUB.
At a committee meeting of the Marton Jockey Club last evening there were present: Messrs R. e, Becket (chairman), H. McMana'-. way, D. G. Riddiford, S. J. Gibbons, J. McDonell, L. M. Richards, E. Openshaw, R, Neumann, H. Cameron, R. H. Aldworth and P. Brice.
It was decided to engage the Mur. ton Brass Band for the Spring Meeting and the first day of the Summer Meeting, and the Marton Junction Band for the second day of the Summer Meeting. The question of complimentary tickets was discussed, and it was ultimately decided to issue compii. ruentary tickets to stewards of neighbouring clubs and owners, trainers and attendants engaged at the meeting. The whoie of the profits of this, meeting will be devoted to war funds, and registered men in khaki ■ and returned soldiers (with red badges) will he admitted to the course free.
The following appointments were made for . the Spring Meeting;— Placed horses: Messrs Deighton, Neumann, Openshaw and Cameronsaddling paddock, Messrs S. J. Gibbons and J. McDoneß; starter’s steward, Mr J. McDonell number board, Mr R. Neumann; totalizator steward, Mr 'L. M. Richards; visitors’ and luncheon stewards, Dr,’ Skerman and Messrs H- McManaway and H, J. Cameron; jockeys' room steward, Mr H. McMauaway. Messrs K. W. Deighton, F. R. h. Brice and F, L. Young were ap. pointed a ticket and gates commit- 1 tee.
