Per Press Association, . Wellington, August 11. At a conference of the A. and P. Industrial Union, resolutions were carried as follows; That a deputation wait on the Minister for Labour to urge that the Shearers’ and Agricultural Labourers’ Hut Accommodation be gazetted forthwith.

That employers pay all registry office fees, and that Labour members in Parliament urge the necessity of establishing Government labour agencies and the abolition of all private labour agencies. It was decided that local agencies and committees be set up in various centres. Prices of tickets were fixed as follows: —For adults, £1; youths women and girls 10s a year. A systematic system of organising rural workers was set up, and it was decided that six organisers be sent out, and the salaries of officials were fixed at the same rate as last year.
