London, August 8, The Morning Post’s Petrograd correspondent reports that the Russian successes on the Graberka and the Sereth-rivers bring them within striking distance of the Bug, the, last natural obstacle on the road to Lemberg. General Hindenbnrg has concentrated heavy forces against General Brnssiloff, proving again his transport superiority. The slaughter of the past week has been terrible, but the advantage is with the Russians. The enemy has begun an offensive south of Deiatyn, on the line of the Pruth.
