Mr McKenna, speaking at the Shipwrights Companies’ dinner, said Britain should have power to secure the ocean highway alike’for herself and others. Britain has not a great army behind the navy and can injure no nation. The navv could injure another’s commerce, but to injure any other nation’s commerce is an injury to Britain’s commerce.
