FOOTBALL.

OROUA UNION FORMED. A meeting of delegates (convened by the Cheltenham Club) for the purpose of forming a Rugby Union, was held at Kimbolton on June 3rd. Present: J. S. Mills (chairman), M. Desmond,, Cheltenham; N. Shannon, T. Maybew, Waituna; E. Hangen, W. Vincent, Kimbolton; J. Heldt, and G. P. Russell, Apiti. Raugiwahia was not represented. It was unanimously decided to form a Union, which will |be called Che Oroua Union. The following officers were elected -.—Patron, Mr D. H. Guthrie, M.P.; president, W. S. Poole; vioe-presidnets, J. R. MoLennon. R. W. Beadnall, H. Feild; secretary, ,A. H. Mills; treasurer, J. S. Mills; auditor, H. R. Fisher; management committee, one delegate from , each affiliated club and the ex-otQoio members. The headquarters of the Union are to be Kimbolton.

The following Olnb colours were registered Cheltenham, black; Waituna, red and black; Apiti, green ; Kimbolton, blue and black; Rangiwahia, green and white. It was decided Shat the teams were to play for a cup which might be claimed if won three times in succession or four times at intervals. Bach year the winning team would be presented with a banner. Messrs Mills, Shannon, and Kns-, sell were appointed as a subcommittee to draft rules for management.

The first round of fixtures was drawn as follows : June 10th.—Cheltenham v. Waituna, at Waituna; Apiti v. Rangiwahia, at Apiti; Kimbolton a bye. June 19th.— Kimbolton v, Cheltenham, at Cheltenham; Waituna v. Rangiwabia, at Kimbolton ; Apiti a bye. June 26th.—Apiti v. JWaituna, at Cheltenham ; Rangiwabia v. Kimbolton, at Rangiwabia; Onehenham a bye. July 3rd.—Apiti v. Kimbolton, at Kimbolton; Cheltenham v. Rangiwabia, at Cheltenham; 'Waituna a bye; ■
