THE TIMBER COMMISSION.
Per Press Association. Auckland, May 11. Giving evidence before the Timber Commission, Mr G. Y. Roberts, architect, with experience in California and New Zealand, said he had used Oregon pine continuously and was astonished at its durability. It was the best timber in the world for bearing purposes. The best Oregon did not come here, but there was a very good quality on this market.
