COURTS.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, May*lo. At the Supreme Court sittings the following prisoners were sentenced Albin Carson, indecent assault, six months; Albert Summerton, forging : and uttaring, admitted to probation for 12 mouths; Albert Clements, forgery, admitted to probation for 1 a months; Henry J. Morrell, perjury, six months; John Windsor, housebreaking and theft, nine months each (concurrent); James Henry Wilson, who pleaded guilty to forgery and uttering, four months ; Charles Qeddes, forgery and uttering, three years, and declared an habitual criminal. George Egan and Wm. Anton were found guilty of breaking and entering. The firstnamed was sentenced to four months, and the second to 18 months. On a second charge against Anton of a similar character, the jury, after two hours and a half, were unable to agree and were’SJ) dismissed,s His Honor intimating that the Crown Prosecutor would apply for a nolle prosequi.
