FBILDING MARKET REPORT,
Messrs A. H. Atkinson & Co., Ltd.,' report a large entry of pigs with keen competition and values considerably ahead of late sales. Porkers and good stores were in strong demand and we conld have sold any number at an advance of from 6s to 7s per head on values previously ruling. If vendors would notify the auctioneer of numbers coming forward, the attendance of outside,-buyers would be ensured. We hait'a medium entry of poultry which considering quality sold well. Good young roosters are wanted. Produce, with exception of potatoes (for which sale is still limited), met ready sale. Some 40 sacks cf pr mpkins and marrows were disposed of. Quotations: Pigs, weaners 4s, 4s 6d, 5s 6d. 6s, to 7s 9d, slips 8a 6d, 9s 6d, 10s 6d, 12a to 13s, stores 17s 6d, to 225, and up to 30s for forward sorts, empty sows 27s 6d to 29s 6d, and 35s 6d Horses, etc., aged trap pony £5, gig £lO 10sj harness 335. Poultry, hens lid, Is Id, Is 3d, Is 6d, to Is 9d, roosters Is 6d, Is 7d, to Is 9d, ducks Is 7d, Is lid, 9s, turkey bens 3s to 3s Bd, all at each. Collie dog 7s, sheep dog pups ss. Produce, etc., apples 4s, 4a 9d to 5s 6d per case, pears 4s, quinces to Id per lb, onions %d to Id, table potatoes 8s 3d per 901 b bag, sacks Bs, pumpkins 2s 3d per half sack, marrows 4s per sack, swedes 2s'3d per half sack, carrots Is 9d small bag, chaff 3s 6d sack, oats 2s 4d per bushel. A quantity of useful harness, horse covers, etc., made fair valne.
