On Thursday night a woman named Sarah Fallodn, living at Lin wood, was the victim of. a serious assasult. Two men went to |ier house and accused her of being a police spy, and after some words one man took up the kettle and hit the woman on the breast, while the other knocked her down with a flat iron". The two then jumped on the woman. Then, finding a gun in the house tney loaded it and fired at the woman but missed her, the shot entering the wall. The men then left and _the womangwas found in an unconscious condition several hours later. Two men were arrested last night on a charge of oominitting the offence.
