Received May 8, 8.35 a.m. London, May 7.” Dr. Richard Arthur, of Sydney, had an interview lasting an hour and a quarter w;itK Mr Burns, who was very sympathetic, and said he was ready to receive a deputation to suggest methods, whereby Britain might assist emigration to Australia. Mr Burns considers that the Colonies should bear the cost of the transport of youths if Britain rears them to manhood and loses their future economic value.
