SUPPOSED SUICIDE.

What appears to be a case of suicide is reported to the police. Elsie Johnston, aged 23, daughter of a Thames resident, left home on Thursday •' and has not been seen *
since. On Thursday she was seen heading for Kanranga Valley, where there is a river deep in places. Yesterday a note was found in a drawer in which the girl expressed her intension of making away with herself. Search of the rirer was made and her hat and boots were found in the vicinity of a deep pool. The police are now dragging the river. It appears that the gill became despondent because she failed to secure employment, and her mind became unhinged.
