FUNERAL OF AUSTRALIAN PRIMATE.

United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Sydney, April 21.

The funeral obsequies of the Primate were most impressive. A solemn service was held in St. Andrew’s Cathedral, which was packed, the congregation embracing a large number of clergymen, including many of other denominations besides Anglican. Thousands of people gathered outside the Cathedral, and watched the long procession along the route to Waverley Cemetery. It is estimated that 10,000 assembled at the cemetery.

The Archbishop of Melbourne and the Bishop of Goulburn officiated at the grave. There was an immense number of beautiful floral offerings.
